The ice is gone.  It is time to get ready for summer!

Two events coming up at the Pike Lake Unit:

First, the annual spring clean-up, Saturday, April 25th.

This year, our spring clean-up is conducted in cooperation with the state DNR Work*Play*Earth Day schedule.  The day will include several jobs with something appropriate for people of almost any age.

Meet at the Pike Lake DNR office at 9:00.  Work boots and gloves are advised.  Work as long as you feel like or until the end of the event.  Members of the public are warmly invited and encouraged to participate.

Second is Discovery Day at Pike Lake, on  Saturday, June 6.

Activities begin at 9:00 a.m., except for the bird hike that starts at 7:30 a.m. and the wildlife in need presentation at 10:00 a.m.   All activities center on the beach parking lot where information is available.  This is a free event, though a State Parks and Forests parking sticker, available on-site, is required.

Below are some photos from Discovery Day in previous years.  We hope to see you there!
